Narritive Writing

It would never had happened, if she hadn't been late for her big show.

The sun was high in the sky, the heat of the sun just made her even more stressed. “Where are my car keys?” She thought as she searched every corner of the lounge. Sophie’s house looked marvellous before her clothes were thrown all over the place. She was running through the room back and forward just to find her red dress. A while after her red dress accidently got caught on her thorny plant which was definitely prickly, with spikes that looked painful.

She panicked. So off she went to her room searching around as if there was no time for her to muck around. There it was another red dress hiding away behind her white dress. After she wore her dress, she found her car keys. BANG! The door closed shut. She suddenly started the engine and drove off.

A mile away the hall was filling up quickly. As soon as Sophie got there  she parked in a reserved parking spot that was just for her. Off she went through the doors, up the stairs and on the stage ready to for her big moment… hoping just one of those chairs would turn around.

This term we have been learning to write narratives. We used the picture prompt below to help us imagine how this situation came about. We tried to hook our audience in by thinking about the pace of events and the pictures we painted with words.
