Today I have been learning how to Double and Halve. The Learning Attention was to simplify multiplication by doubling and halving numbers. What I found interesting was learning how to double the numbers and learn how to halve the numbers to make the question even.
Well done Evelyn. You are right, the doubling and halving strategy can make problems much easier to solve. 100 x 20 is much easier than 50 x 40. This is really helpful strategy to know and use when solving multiplication problems.
